Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at bellafantom@hotmail.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes, before treatment begins, I will contact your veterinary practice to obtain the appropriate consent/ referral. This also allows me to understand your animal's medical history and to work alongside your vet.

The first appointment includes a full discussion about your animal’s history, current concerns, lifestyle and goals. I will then assess their posture, movement, joint range of motion, muscle condition and any areas of discomfort or compensation.

Treatment will be tailored to what your animal is comfortable with and may include manual therapy, massage, stretching, laser therapy and carefully selected therapeutic exercises. You will receive a detailed report that includes all of this, and a copy will be sent to your vet.

Yes, many insurance providers provide cover for physiotherapy.

No. Physiotherapy can also be used proactively to support strength, mobility, balance, flexibility and physical performance. Don't wait until there is a problem to start physiotherapy.

It may be suitable for sporting and working animals, older animals, animals returning to activity, or those showing subtle changes in movement.

You can get in touch through the contact form, by phone or through Fantom Veterinary Physiotherapy’s social media pages.

Please include your animal’s name, species, current condition or concern, veterinary practice and your location. I will then explain the next steps and arrange the necessary veterinary consent.

Fantom Veterinary Physiotherapy provides mobile appointments for dogs and horses, allowing treatment to take place in a familiar environment at your home, stable or yard.
